We saw with COVID how far the extent of their morals and principles goes when it comes to choice, being human or being richest human no matter what will take...Lets just calm down and be realistic for a second, and conclude that if really wanted AI to be safe we would never choose richest and completely morally devoided people to lead in its development in first place...
