I hate ai stuff so much. That argument she showed in the video of “Then they don’t need to spend hours of their life practicing.” They say that like it’s a bad thing?? Like spending countless hours of time and effort into something we love is a bad thing?? I love art, and sure, I’ve had times where I wanna throw my sketchbook against the wall and rip up whatever the hell I’m trying to draw, but I always try to finish it. Why? Because it’s my hobby. It’s my passion. It’s what I will happily spend hours of my life doing because it’s what I love!! Even if I end up not liking or even hating a drawing I’ve made, I always enjoy going through old sketches and going “let’s try that again now that I’ve improved” and let me tell you, ai “artists” will never know the feeling you get when you finish a drawing you spent hours, days, weeks, maybe even months trying to finish. Because that’s the fun of it. The feeling of absolute pride and happiness you get finishing something that **you put time and effort and most importantly LOVE into**. It’s an argument I always say whenever anyone tries to defend ai “art”, and that is: “Doesn’t that defeat the whole point?” Because it does. Art is something I fucking love, and why on earth would I skip the entire process? What, so I can do other things? Other things like what? Art? Writing? Literally anything that requires the slightest touch of effort? “Oh, ai can do all of that for you.” If ai can do all of it for me, why would I want to do anything at all? Like Lavendertowne said, life would be so hollow like that. This turned into a rant and I could honestly say more, but I’ll stop here lol. Ai stuff makes me so damn angry.
