The fact that we're even having to have this conversation is so depressing. It is obvious that the AI companies stole the work of thousands of fantastic artists and designers online, which is a modern-day crime that has been allowed and even worse is sickeningly justified by some people. It sadly goes hand in hand with the way creatives tend to be undervalued. I'm not sure what the answer is but one day people will be very sad if they wake up to realise there are no more artists. Just machines regurgitating Frankensteined images from art created years ago.
