When we stew over whether AI reaches the capability of humans, we are usually subtly moving towards redefining 'human' down to be more or merely like AI. When we accept, or nearly accept, that at bottom, the brain/mind is computational device we've already ceded the ground. As if we 'know' what humans are! As if our ideas about what a human is (what I am and what you are) are not shaped by our (technological and other) cultural environments.
