I get the hype around building software with AI, but from experience, it’s not plug-and-play. I think in systems, not snippets, and AI still codes like it’s working on a demo project. If you’re building multi-tenant, real-time, regulated platforms, you’ll spend time cleaning up messy scaffolding, making it production-ready, and aligning it to your architecture. It’s great for speed, but you still need to treat it like a junior dev — give it full context, check its work, and have clear standards, otherwise the cracks show fast.
