People are being like, "AI will become better and replace your job, look at where it was 5 years ago and where it is now, at this rate it'll become sentient and all powerful in no time" we have reached the point of diminishing returns with the technology. we don't have more data to feed the models, we're running out of hardware and energy for the data centers. in fact, i expect the technology to worsen from here on, as the models start to get trained on AI generated data and garbage, and as companies begin allocating resources elsewhere
