How much a senior living facility cost for older Americans? $5000 or $7500 per month? If senior citizens can stay in their home with few robots to drive them to hospital , cook and clean for them instead of paying $100 dollar an hour for a person to come to the house. Robot can take vital signs and record and report without complaints. Robot can even carry intelligent conversation with lonely old folk living alone. Many young people complain about high taxes and some believe the old folks are the reason for high taxes. If we can lower the cost for caring senior citizens, we can lower taxes for workforce. Robot with laser gun for home security will be a good thing to cut down crime for senior citizens living at home. Wish Bernie Sanders would stop driving a wedge between ordinary Americans and those exceptional few. We the ordinary Americans have accumulated nearly 38 Trillion in national debts, the IOU notes to many foreign nations. The total assets of our few rich Americans is about 8 trillion dollars. If our rich folks give up all their assets to pay the national debt, we are still 30 trillion dollars short. The interest alone to pay for the debt is 1.2 trillion dollars every year. Every year we kind of creating 970 billionaires abroad because of the interest of national debt we owe. This means we could have 970 new billionaires here in the USA every year if we don’t have to pay the annual interest of 38 trillion debt. And Bernie Sanders and AOC want to add 1.5 trillion more to our national debt! Honorable Senator Sanders, please don’t treat 1 trillion dollars as a hundred dollar bill. We need to cut medical spending with a policy that has the wellbeing of American citizens as core values. We need to set price for every medical test. Blood lab test should be the same everywhere in the USA. So are the x-ray, CAT scans and sonogram, echocardiogram……. The government should have a set price for all tests and treatments. Same kind of chemotherapy should be the same price across the USA. The government should also set a price for newer drugs and treatments. Government’s set price will bring about competition because Hospital and clinic will lower price to lure patients. With AI and robot, there would be more independent labs and facilities emerge to compete within the government set price. If hospitals charge $100 for a type of blood work, the independent lab may lower and charge $80 for the such blood work. The government can issue health card to every citizen to have number of blood lab work annually based on age. All citizens should learn the basic knowledge of blood test results. Such health knowledge class should be taught beginning in 3d grade. When a citizen is diagnosed with health problems, treatment price should be set across the USA. For those who trust certain hospital with higher cost, the hospital should disclose the extra costs and added values to the patient. The patient will pay the extra cost. Let say a cancer patient wants to try newer drugs, the government should set a percentage of profit for any new drug the hospital can charge. The extra percentage will be the responsibility of the patient. For example, if a known cancer drug is not working, the patient is to try a newer drug. The drug company should have registered with the government of the cost of the new drug. Hospital should allow 5 percent of profit of the new drug and government will pay 25 percent of the new drug total cost and patient will be responsible for the rest. This extra cost would be the reason whether to buy insurance. Cutting medical cost is the key to ensure every citizen has access to good healthcare. And the government’s role is to set a maximum price to all medical tests and treatments, and let the competition thrive whether in health insurance or medical treatment.
