You make a GIANT assumption that if automation helps save companies money, they will have an incentive to pass the savings onto thr consumers. This is NOT true in almost any industry. The world economy is split up into monopolies that don't have to compete. What will end up happening is companies just keep prices the same and pocket the difference.
