in such a hypothetical future, maybe, instead of an UBI ( and so, an increase in money-taxation from government, wich would scare off the wealthy and push a reaction from them that would make everything even worse) , it would become more efficient (and less scary for companies) to ask them to give away every older gen of robots they don't need anymore or any robot that is non-functionnal. a kind of "okay, we won't touch your cash, but give us your trash" so that the public could re-put them into working condition and then create a multilayered economy where the new top-notch machines of today will be considered obsolete and will be resold/thrown away as second hand for cheap tomorrow. (similarly to electronic devices today, the old devices you used to have 15 years ago, assuming they survived, are now considered pretty much worthless and so, you wouldn't be against giving it away to anyone who is interessed) only extra thing to add to make sure people on the bottom of society can still exploit the 2nd hand machines will be to make sure everyone got a place of their own + that massive technological leap forwards are achieved in recycling. in order to make sure that after one layer of society become wealthy enough to make and throw away their own old stuff and junk, that the subsequent layer can have the means of turning thoose thrown out into the necessary tools to build their own future independently. only remaining unsolved issue i can see is the scarcity of space and of non-owned natural ressources. (as it would be necessary to have "fresh" spots with ressources ready to be exploited that aren't already owned by the top layers of the ladder, so that the lower layers can go settle there and exploit it for themselves, building their own futures)
