Hi Lavender!! Long time fan and disabled artist and teacher.
The accessibility argument towards AI is incredibly frustrating and minimizing to artists with disability! But not only this, it's minimizing to HUMAN ingenuity!
I teach literal infants (0-16 months) how to create art and the decisions they make during their artistic processes along the way are always considered of utmost importance. If actual BABIES can make original and unique art with totally unique processes then any person can - REGARDLESS of disability.
My specific disability causes occassionally visual impairment and brain fog. Even during these disabling moments, I am still creating art with my hands (knitting, crochet, or other less visual work). On my good days I focus on my traditional art/illustrative pieces.
Anyone arguing for AI art discredits the simple fact that art is and never has been about the outcome of the work, it is all about the PROCESS. AI use removes part of if not ALL of the process.
Thank you for your hard work! Big love and admiration from Canada! Keep art HUMAN. Make AI do my laundry, dishes, and taxes pls and thanks.
