Nanowrimo taking this stance is crazy considering how much writers in the community HATE AI, including minority writers. Hell, ESPECIALLY minority writers.
There are many accessibility tools that already exist for helping people with disabilities write, and none of them require AI. The only thing AI can make up for is a lack of writing skill, and that is not a disability, that is simply a lower level of experience and knowledge that can be improved via practice, AKA *actually writing*. Having something write for you does not make you a writer.
As for under represented minorities... How about tackling those systemic issues directly instead of slapping a printed off slip of paper with a jpeg of a Band-Aid on it.
