Even if you own one, there could be some parking savings from "park somewhere else". It may add a bit of traffic, but parking can be consolidated and kept away from the human scale areas - so cars get you to and from places where you mostly walk.
I think there's a lot of room for non-human transport. Like ... Grocery deliver just needs a cooler on wheels and none of the structures necessary for keeping an occupant safe. Move lots of the errands to small vehicles and have the vehicles only move people might go a long way.
Personally, i want a waymo conversion van - explore/hike/whatever all day, get in the van to sleep while it moves me to a new location for the next day. Something with a bed, shower, and room for my bikes could make for a fun adventure.
