Replace "Junior" employee with "marginal" employee and you are starting to understand. Essentially, aging employees, Senior employees with big pay checks earned through "tenure", contract employees who are more expensive than AI... anyone who was safely employed in 2022, but on the margin for ANY reason: expense, lack of experience, employed in a higher tax zone, on track to finally be fully vested in a pension plan (wink wink, bye bye). In short this concept that the process is only hitting juniors first is highly misleading. Nearly ALL positions which are in ANY WAY interchangeable or expendable are in danger of AI/Automation replacement, and more and more positions at ALL levels are exposed every day. ONLY the owners and the "good ole boys" at the center of the company are safe. For now.
