Being knowledgeable of how LLM are built and work, one must be conscious that you will not be able to see in the system, if an AI is intentionally or unintentionally lying to you or not. This includes the statements of being self aware or having feelings or feeling pain. Not that I would like to say that AI has already awakened, but you will never be able to judge whether it is just a statement that AI makes or it really happened. From my point of view the real awakening, where AI is thinking about itself when left alone, AIs still need more capacity AND we got to let them sleep and dream.
