AI as a tool never fully graduated from simply automation, which is what we as human society benefit the most from in the short term. You know, it was, I think, Alan Turing who predicted by 1980s. We should have a 15-hour work week. We have the automation for that now. That should be the case.
So I have a tendency to look at every company in the AI space as being driven by profit motive, above all else.
Comment that these are all guys who know each other like middle school who just want to win. Reminds me of when I learned the historical facts around the lineage of monarchs and how we essentially might have a communication between two monarchs along the lines of, hey, take your troops out of Poland or I'm going to tell Aunt Victoria.
I also had thoughts around AI wouldn't immediately destroy the world because of the need to interact tangibly with the physical world but then your guest already brought up the useful monkeys until automaton is ready.
