I deliver food for a living in Los Angeles. TODAY there are already autonomous taxis pushing passenger drivers to deliver more food just to stay busy. There are delivery robots piloted by drivers in India and Colombia taking work away from me while those companies work on automating their robots so people won’t be needed at all. Compared to just a few years ago I already notice it’s much harder to make the same money in the same day’s work. He isn’t kidding, the impact will be massive and without guard rails in place it will create more poverty while enriching billionaires.
