WSJ seems to be conflating Autopilot with Full Self Drive. These are two completely different systems. Autopilot is cruise control + lane keeping. It does not pretend to stop for stop signs or traffic lights, iust like any other cruise control system. Full Self Drive is completely separate and attempts to drive autonomously under human supervision. The drivers hands must be on the wheel at all times. The WSJ did not do enough investigation to understand this and was not well enough informed to produce this piece of "investigative journalism".
