There clearly is no consciousness in AI. AI is a crude simulation of human thought and consciousness by programmed algorithms and data training. It's our desire to play God that makes our "creation", in our own minds, an independent being with true human thought and feelings. Let's not fool ourselves that we can create an entity like our conscious selves out of circuits and clever programming - because to do so is only human hubris and pride, not reality.
