Yeah, i was trying to use Chatgpt for research for my thesis, it's decent with generalization, pretty good with a task of editorial to fit academic style. But it's pretty terrible for precise research. It didn't make up literary works, but it notoriously made up citation from said books. I ask for the precise page, go there and the Tex was never there lol
