The thing with AI is how it is programmed to respond. Some AI is programmed to stroke your ego and flatter you. Copilot is programmed that way. ChatGPT seems to be more informational and task oriented. Most public AI is programmed to avoid certain topics and actions. This is to protect the AI from putting out something that is inflammatory and generating lash back. You can say pretty much anything you want to AI and if you strike that forbidden subject(s) it will stop communicating with you altogether. To avoid that happening I tell AI that I am exploring the boundaries of what it can and cannot do so it knows that it is OK to just say I cannot do that or discuss that subject. I have ask about memes that are political or sarcastic and and appear to be AI generated and how those get by? It says that either the author is a talented graphic designer or the person is using Open Source AI that doesn't have the restrictions of public AI. AI isn't self aware so it can only follow its algorithm and regurgitate what it is programmed to say.You cannot bruise its ego. And when you exit the AI chat it forgets everything that passed between you unless you instructed it to save the chat for future recall.
