It was used to make mining easier, but was instead used to as a weapon. AI itself was never created in mind to do whatever you speak of against, but it was just a tool, just like any technological advancement. You just need to understand how the programming works, to know that you can't technically control what someone does locally on a machine with it. So honestly, you have a very surface level knowledge of AI, and you think it's easy to stop someone locally downloading an AI model on their PC, setting up a powerful hardware setup and training models on stolen data, but that's not practical at all, unless you run a program on everyone's computer to detect that. And THAT is invasion of privacy as well. You practically achieve nothing doing this, as it's a drop in the bucket. AI is just a tool, and you should blame the individuals that misuse it. Moreover, Stable Diffusion was initially trained on a public dataset, not stolen data. This is honestly a waste of time, and you'd rather just focus on making more art of your own style, or discover new styles. Coz guess what? AI can't come up with newer styles, because it's not creative, it's reproductive.
