You can tell when someone has never undergone any sort of independent creative process of basically any kind based on their opinions on AI. If you have ever done any degree of creation, be it drawing, writing, even something like translating, you have instances where you go in with a basic idea, and you look it over multiple times, think, "Hmm, I could probably improve this." and you try out a few different things, maybe scrap parts of it entirely, and at the end of the process you find something you're immensely satisfied with. Undergoing the process itself improves the end product. You won't get the best version of your vision on a first draft and when you just let a machine spit out a completed version based on your prompts it's something that will struggle to be "as good" as the first draft you had in your mind. There are AIbros I've seen who have said, "When I use the AI I get something that looks about 80% close to my mental image" intended as a defense of AI, but my initial reaction is, "Why not 100%?" When you actually create not only do you have the ability to get 100% of what your mental image was, in the process of creation you often find those little spots to get something that is BETTER than what your initial mental image was.
