A little off topic from the main headline, but addressing a point that Krystal brought up and Saagar jumped on a bit -- I hope that Krystal does some further research into what happens following the glorious communist revolutions, because it is the worst possible outcome. In France, the Jacobins (who heavily influenced Marxism) took control and killed 40,000 people in The Terror in a year. Chaos and tyranny followed. Ditto Russia, China, North Korea, Cambodia, Cuba, etc. The worst, most oppressive regimes in human history. Crushed dissent and controlled every aspect of your life. Yes, it's understandable how the over-educated feel -- they're very resentful their life won't be as comfortable as their parents. But, their solution and the people they're looking to - people like Mamdani, AOC, Bernie, etc. are saying the same things other communist dictators said. Saagar is 100% spot on that the various communist revolutions all started with the lower-upper class who were resentful of those at the top. Cue the incoming comments telling me that wasn't real communism, or that people like Mamdani and AOC just want everyone to live with dignity, that they're socialists not communists, ad hominem attacks, etc. Whatever. As for AI -- better learn to adapt as best you can now, because it's going to change things. If you're younger and your corporate job isn't panning out, learn a trade -- plumbing, electricians/lineman, HVAC, carpentry, welders, heavy machine operators, landscapers, roofers, auto repair, etc. Those jobs are in high demand and will will provide a steady income. If I could turn back the clock even 10-15 years, I'd probably do that. Or start your own business with something unique. Go in the medical field. Find a niche in media that no one else is doing.
