The really scary AI's aren't the ones that humans put in charge of human made weapons, but the ones able to design far better weapons. (And also make money online, hire people to build the tech, hack autonomous robots etc. Soon the AI has it's own robot building robots and doesn't need to bother tricking humans )
(Like imagine a bunch of chimps a million years ago talking about these scary human things, and suggesting that they shouldn't give the humans any dangerous big sticks)
