Thanks for this excellent explanation of AI.
I agree that AI has no brains but it's able to process all the information already on the Internet in seconds and that's really impressive. However when pushed to produce answers to complex questions it defaults and is reliant on the official data or consensus based on the accepted position.
I don't think it will ever get to the stage of thinking and bearing in mind that at least half the world are stupid it will always be a tool for quick access to already recorded information.
