These companies missed the mark with AI because they were trying to jump on the hype without thinking things through. It's AI use for the sake of AI use instead of AI use for make things easier. End of the day with how young AI is, it still needs people behind the wheel to keep things in line of what you'd expect a person would do.
Similar to other machines and computers, there always has to be someone watching what AI is doing. Because just like any other computer (for now), it will do what you tell it to do to the letter. If you're even one word off what you want it to do or something is wrong with the AI itself, it won't work.
