College degrees lost their value way back in the late 90's when the financial industry figured out how to "farm students with debt."
The financial industry pushed everyone into college just like they pushed everyone into a house before the 2008 market crash.
They packaged those loans into securities to sell to investors for guaranteed profit from the interest, then bribed politicians to make the debt non-dischargeable in bankruptcy.
It’s literally Mortgage Backed Securities all over again, but with student loans. AI is just the final nail in the coffin, but the banks dug the grave years ago.
