The way the friend is so cagey/takes forever to actually come clean in the messages is obnoxious as well. Like "I need to come clean about something....well...it's about those AI images....you know how I said they were on deviantart?....it was my account...I made them. I'm sorry" like they were expecting the conversation to be paced out like dramatic movie dialogue with a big reveal instead of just saying "hey! wanted to come clean and tell you that I was the one using your art for AI" like a normal person.
Just the complete lack of self awareness, lack of consideration, selfishness and leech behavior in general, and then when confronted the "owo i'm just a liddle guy...i made them...i'm sorry...." vibes. A few years ago this person would be crytyping probably.
