AI has it's uses, even in art, but when people tell you it can and will give you exactly what you want to create, that's a flat out lie. I wasted hours trying to generate visual depictions of characters in my stories using AI, and while it got close sometimes, I was never really satisfied. Then, I tried drawing them digitally myself so I could make as many mistakes as I wanted and was much happier with the results even if they still weren't the exact image I had for my characters. AI art can be technically good, but it will never have a soul, because it was made by something that doesn't have a soul. My main point at the end of the day is that if you really care about ideas for art you have in your head, hand the creative process over to AI as little as possible.
