Well, this is definitely not reason to suspect ChatGPT is conscious based on this conversation. But it also demonstrates how impossible it would be to prove it if it actually was conscious...
My favorite part was when Alex mentioned that ChatGPT's answers were beginning to sound like Jordan Peterson and it immediately understood what he meant by that. Unless there was a part missing where they discussed Jordan Peterson, that was a very impressive demonstration of its ability to "connect the dots" in conversation.
