They did not lay a single corporate employee off because of AI.
What they did was lie about why they were laying people off. They were laying them off because they needed to, which would have caused stock prices to plunge. So they pretended it was because of ai, which caused their stock to go up.
It was the usual corporate enshittification of defrauding shareholders.
