I started off by tracing art…Well that was stupid of kid me, then I moved to creating OC’s by taking a persons character and changing it completely. Again a stupid move, I kept going until my friend encouraged me to try, I refused because ‘I don’t know how’ until my friend showed me…a circle? Then a couple of stokes? A head! Then I got off with the body, I felt proud I finally learnt to do something so I kept on going, watched videos, took online tips, took inspiration from Pinterest… Then here is a fatal mistake. I wasn’t really getting the help I needed back then so around 2 years (or 1 year) ago I turned to chatGPT. It had this image feature…so I shared it my drawing of a very old OC and asked ‘do you have any opinions?’ It did gave me some ideas on the shading but in the end I stopped trusting it. And here I am now, still drawing art for a world I’m building, I just made an Artfight account but thinking of joining the fight next year. I still can take criticism (not from my mom, she’s an asshole) I take it from strangers, maybe a couple of close friends who won’t just say ‘it’s good!’ Edit: context…uhm no I do not mean those ‘practice tracing’ thing I mean straight up taking the image like I remember taking this cookie run kingdom image of gingerbrave off of Pinterest and just giving him hair, wolf ears, skirt, and all and I called it ‘my oc’…I uuh also did the same thing to a content creators OC it’s like this TV girl but pink? And I uuuh posted that on Facebook calling it ‘fan art’…UH YEAH SO I’M LIKE THOSE ART STEALERS BACK THEN I’M SORRY I WAS LIKE WHAT? 5 OR 7 YEARS OLD???
