Hmm. She’s not wrong but I still think it depends on the artist’s’ situation. A stalker scared my mother, pressured her into moving us out of my hometown. Since then my relationship with my friends and family was never the same, especially when she left me rotting in a place where I don’t belong. Being depressed and have to work for survival I didn’t feel motivated enough to begin making a comic. Even then my story was lacking certain experiences and insights. 10 years later I’ve realized too late that if I want to move back home and begin my writing therapy without crime getting in the way I just have to become a law enforcer, not just to be financially stable enough to stay there forever but also I want to know what it takes to be a hero for my story. My concern is whether or not I’m able to protect my hands and my voice. Should I fail learning how to drive at the age of 28 and suffer a Doctor-Strange-style accident or lose my hands to a violent event I’m starting to consider using Ai. Of course I won’t have it create the story for me. Its just that I’m not sure how soon my life is going to end if I continue to pursuit my twisted version of peace. Too much time has passed, I’m about to lose another friend, and my health is in question. For better or worse I wanted to make something at least meaningful while I still can. I was planning to at least use Ai to help visualize my concepts faster and then hire an artist to make a different version of it.
