We need to talk about the big problem no one is talking about yet: tokens are not reached a level of economic of scale typical of other inventions of the past before. What it means is that as something gets produced en mass, the per unit cost of each item lowers as scale gets larger. This is how things that used to be very expensive gets to become affordable, thus producing the mass consuming middle class we have today. However, at its current iteration, token cost goes UP as more tokens are being produced and used, not going DOWN. I think Nvidia is working on something completely new to enable this happen in the future, but not right now. This economic model won't scale once everyone started to integrate AI into every thing we have around the world.
