I have nothing against AI "art", I have a problem with AI "artists" that basically take the work the AI made and claim it is theirs, and have the audacity to call themselves artists. And there is a fundamental difference between Inspiration and AI regurgitation. A real artist uses reference and inspiration to make something new, there is an entire process of reasoning, analysis that the artist goes through, to choose its inspiration carefully and select the parts that make sense into something coherent, AI uses everything it know to make slop, not to mention, part of the allure of art (except for companies that just want some artwork for their product) is the effort that went into it, the skill required, something AI posses... nor its users.
