The echo chamber effect has been going on for numerous decades in the domain of television, radio and especially newspapers.
I mean, right wing readers buy right wing newspapers, further entrenching their opinion right?
I try to avoid it, I try to steer a path without interference or influence, but it is so incredibly difficult.
I stopped newspapers in 1983, I haven't had a television for 20 years, I stopped listening to radio in 2016..... But now my newsfeed on my phone is almost impossible to escape.
I do however have great fun confusing the algorithms!!! 😅
But seriously, living under a rock is tough nowadays.
