Senior Developer here. They were too early. Now with Codex and Claude Opus plus latest agentic advancements like Claud Flow, OpenClaw and Agent Teams plus MCP in general the layoffs will just blow your mind... India is done. One experienced dev will be able to run multiple dozens of agent teams.
But this is only the beginning. Expect next waves to hit engineering, law, marketing and other common office jobs. Last wave will be robotics...
