Hard to cope with the level of nonsense in this interview. Kudos to Lex, who was always clear he would talk to anyone. The level of AI Yampolskiy fears is not what is being developed by anyone out there. He is talking about a true consciousness, a sentient being. We are NOWHERE close to doing that, let alone 2026, and if it comes someday, it will NOT come through web scraping and machine learning, it will come trough experiencing the world, as we do. We need a different technology for that, not binary NVidia chips. Conciousness is an altogether different problem, We are developing a better calculator, that's all.
