The problem is not the AI factor, it is the scam that has been sold to students and their parents that a bachelor's means the degree conferee actually knows anything. Took me 13 years while employed in the degree area for 17 years in increasing sophistication levels. Thanking 13'years changed my productivity level and led to much impved compensation. But if someone else received the same degree while not working for pay within the body of knowledge, they could well be wiped out by AI. I wouldn't hire a candidate who said basically here I am, I have my degree and no experience pay me tons of money. Unh uh Get some experience in the field and try applying again. We'll hire you for the mailroom, emptying the trash in the server room, running errands and the experiential factor that accrues, but sorry we have AIs that are smarter than you, son.
