9:38 When I'm writing, I don't feel like every single word I write has a purpose. I know that I want to get from point A to point B. But what's inbetween isn't that important. I still decide in the end, which words I choose, true. But if I proofread my text, I often change some of the phrasings. Not everything has to matter. Sometimes I also ask AI to write such parts. Sometimes I like them and take them. Usually I at least change the phrasing or just do what I originally planned. The point with writing is getting the idea and the feeling across. Example: If I write about two people meeting, then talking and then becoming friends, it doesn't necessarily matter about what they talk. They could be talking about different things as a few criteria are met: - their personalities have to come across - it has to be an authentic conversation (usually) - it has to be the same style as the rest (except I choose it to have a different style) - they have to become friends, so something has to happen over which they bond So if I show an AI enough examples of my writing style for this story, explain how the characters and their personalities are, and so on, I think I'd get some conversation that's just as good as something I would have created myself. Hopefully it's not "better" (more common writing style, usage of words or grammar I usually don't use). And this way I could create multiple alternatives in a short time. And then I could pick the best one, or just make it some interactive story where you choose the exact path. Or I could choose one text, but fix things I don't like. Or I could just use it as inspiration. When thinking about it, I should definitely use more AI for my writing. The actual creativity is in setting up the AI to "know" about my charatcres, my world, my settings, etc. But the same applies to drawings, too. I don't have to use the generated image directly. I can edit parts of it. (works better with text, so it doesn't apply that well to drawings; I really need a simple text based drawing format, similar to SVG.
