Call me a hater cause i am. I despise the argument that ai is more accessible and easier, cause as someone who's been spending most of their days for most of their life(i wont reveal my real age but around 18 and ive been learning to draw since 6 for multiple hours everyday) i learned that the hardships are what makes art beautiful and you dont need extraordinary skills to make art. "I wish i could draw like you" you can, nothing is stopping you. If there was no sadness in the world there would be no happiness, cause happiness would be the norm. If i didn't spend hundreds of hours crying over the mistakes i made in my art pieces i wouldn't be proud of the end result. I'm under the assumption that art was supposed to bring us a glimpse of joy into our grey lifes, to be the thing we can celebrate without capitalising on it, but ai takes all that joy out. "I cant draw the idea i have" no, stop there. You can. You may not be able to portray it as realistically as someone who's been putting more EFFORT and THOUGHT into it, but it does not mean it's inaccessible to you. All you need is a sheet of paper and a pencil- heck, not even that, you could use sand and a stick- and you're free to let your creativity go. "I don't have creativity" i do not believe that, plus if you don't have creativity why bother with art or art generators at all? Again I'm just a stranger complaining on the internet but i devoted my life to all forms of art (dancing, writing, drawing, painting, cosplaying, artistic makeup, animating, so on and so forth) and it simply hurts to see that there will be fever and fever artists cause everyone will have art served on a silver platter. If im overreacting or missing some perspectives let me know, i got kinda riled up writing this. I feel sick to the stomach seeing kids already using ai image generators cause what happened to building fortresses from rocks and sand or smearing paint over the walls of your house to get a scolding or the plain paper and pencil i mentioned? You won't catch me using a to make an image I'll forget about in a second when i can spend a few hours analyzing references, learning history and drawing that thing myself.
