Not to mention - most major economic US companies are framing "layoffs" due to AI while simultaneously hiring the same number or MORE H-1B Visa holders (requiring less pay - approx. -30%) for the same work. AI is not replacing people well enough to replace actual jobs, it's becoming an excuse for companies to cut costs for offshore lower-wage employment to pump shareholder costs. Also, the US power grid is woefully under-scoped for the power demands. Taiwan is also about to literally explode their manufacturing facilities (the only manufacturer of AI processors in the entire world) in case of Chinese invasion and attempt to capture.
Sorry to burst anyone's hopeful bubble on this topic. There's HUGE economic and political layers to this whole "shabang".
