everyone celebrating in this comment section is going to feel real silly in about 18 months. the billion in technical debt sounds scary until you realize that's roughly what companies were spending annually on mid-level devs who spent 4 hours a day in meetings and 2 hours actually coding. Builder AI was one company run by idiots, that's not an indictment of the entire approach. the teams that are quietly succeeding with AI aren't making videos about it because they're too busy shipping. this video is cope dressed up as vindication
