Listen. I do not hate the prospect or the theory of Generative AI. I feel like, on paper, it sounds great, but in execution, it really makes you second-guess yourself and realize, "wow, this actually kinda sucks."
What I DO have a problem with, and a major one at that, is AI "artists" passing off AI art as their own. From what I've seen, it's either ragebait (they're trying to get a reaction out of people by posting something they know is 100% AI) or they are genuinely braindead and think that AI is "helping the art world" or that "aNyOnE cAn Be An ArTiSt WiTh Ai".
If I get comments under this from AI bros who genuinely think this shit is the next big thing, something that steals from artists, and uses the entire Pacific Ocean's worth of energy, maybe more, in only a few months, then I'll know for sure how braindead they really are, peddling their "but AI is helpful!" bullshit.
