I can see a day when we decide that IT has been a complete waste of our time. Yes they might make our time easier but less worthy. We are the best form of AI (Actual Intelligence) so use it to populate the galaxies. Now that may require AI to travel the massive time gaps to another planet but it can be done if we work on it. Chances are the AI on board will kill all the biological DNA and become the thing that wipes us out.
