I know he said that switching off electricity is a silly idea but what if we did? We could all just live like we used to c 1900 but with traditional land lines, diesel cars, newspapers, and mechanical devices. We could live simple lives, which is what we would do if we get AI right anyway. Maybe that's what they had to do in ancient civilisations - they had a form of technology to build things like stone henge but had to destroy it. Thoughts?
