I find it so grating when people go around saying being an artist isn't a real job when the media industry was built by artists.
Without artist, we wouldn't have animated movies. Without artists anime and manga wouldn't be the booming industry it is. Without artists, the beautiful scenes and character designs in video games wouldn't have ever been conceptualized. Without authors, we wouldn't have our favorite franchises today.
Without artists and authors, generative Ai wouldn't have been possible, because it too was built from them and would cease to function without them.
