Waymo and other self-driving cars are NOT coming to cities in my country *ANY* time soon. Regulatory authorities will not allow it.
But even if they did, these cars are not going to change city design and housing arrangements any time soon. These are already determined by planning and property titles. The land allotted to road-space is already largely set out in concrete so revisions are expensive, time-consuming, and fraught with all manner of equity and compensation issues.
