Digital artist here. Your representation of digital art as a medium is quite on-the-nose. The only difference I find between digital and physical is the tools at our disposal. At the end of the day, it's still our pen/pencil strokes that we're creating. Saying that typing in a prompt is "another form of art creation" always grinds my gears. This, in and of itself, is not "creating art" it's "commissioning a robot to do it for you". They aren't art creators in the slightest. They're just freeloading commissioners. As for putting myself in a slightly vulnerable position, I do have the disability of IBS, which has made obtaining the energy to go throughout my days to be a bit of a hassle. Though it doesn't directly affect my ability to draw, it affects my energy, which affects my motivation, which affects my drive to make something creative. I apologize to not give a better input more directly related to disabilities in art, but I know there are days when it becomes a struggle to draw. I am in a weird juxtaposition where I don't feel like I'm well enough to be normal but not feeling like my disability is merited as being called a "disability"... so I feel I don't have much an argument there. But, all this aside, none of it ever stops me from creating art, and seeing there are people who are just being lazy and using AI to "make art" is quite infuriating. It also feels like they're throwing people with disabilities under the bus just to justify their theft. I started out with a pencil and notebook (which, at the time costed me a dollar for both (though I know they may be a bit more expensive now)). When people try and reap the benefits of "being an artist" without actually putting the work into drawing, then it's not them trying to express their creativity, it's just them trying to show everyone how much better they are compared to everyone else.
