The only use case I've seen for AI art is when it's something like a component to a composition and that component is basically drawn almost identically every single time, but there still is a need for some kind of variation. Straight up trying to use it to draw characters tends to lead to... well its like the same character each time but they have different hats. Still has a banger color scheme though.
